1960's/1970's Metal "Cecil L. Thomas & Sons" Harbor City CA License Plate Frame - $38 - (Slave Lake, AB)
1960's/1970's Metal "Cecil L. Thomas & Sons" (was in Harbor City California) License Plate Frame. The top says "101 Hwy & Vermont". Has a few small marks/scratches/rubs/very small pitting but over all in decent condition. There is an extremely small dent right along the bottom which is noticeable only when the frame is in hand. The red and white paint is still quite nice, but it does show wear. Could be shined up a little more --- I have only washed it gently in soap and water. The manufacturer's name is stamped into the back bottom of the frame (Robert W. Brown & Co. Downey Calif). Made for a standard size 6" by 12" license plate. Please view photo closely for condition. Upon doing a bit of research, "Cecil L. Thomas & Sons" was a Cadillac, GMC and Oldsmobile dealership. It is no longer in existence and the location now is some sort of parking garage. The actual address (verified from an envelope posted in January 1963) was 1030 Pacific Coast Highway. Will be shipped in a bubble envelope with chloroplast (plastic cardboard) backing.
