1926 Master A Scroll, The Chataqua Equipment, Complete scroll - $40 - (Indianola, NE)
This was a fun find from an auction of a church friend. His family lived in the same house for over 90 years, they saved almost everything and this was part of the treasures. According to what I've been able to discover this scroll was part of a desk and other materials designed for children to use to learn through play! It must be fairly rare since I found only one other that was similar to compare to online. This does have 4 areas that were taped. Despite the yellowing of the tape, it does seem to be holding fine, but I have been fairly gentle with this 92 year old paper. The edges have some tearing from the rolling process. Only one that is about 1/2" that I noticed. Other's are smaller, but I could have missed some. The artwork and ideas on this scroll are wonderful. I've tried to picture each area, but if there is one you would like more details on I would be happy to provide that. Please email questions and thanks for looking.
