Antique Copeland Spode China Canton Smooth Pattern Rim Soup Bowl Set (6) - $185 - (Osage, IA)

Wonderful, rare set of six rimmed soup bowls from Copeland. The pattern is Canton and the set dates from 1879 to 1880. The smooth pattern, poly-chromed bowls have an off-white ground. All are marked and date either 1879 or 1880. All are in nice condition: 1 has some crazing in the center, 1 has a small glaze flake on the outer edge, 1 has a split just under the rim (factory flaw - see last photo) and all have a little utensil marking (15%). No chips or cracks.Approx. Size: 8 7/16"d
