A.D.1221/2-1254 (4.29 gm, 26 mm) Obverse: Christ standing, facing on backless throne, wearing nimbus cr., raising right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels, star above arm of Christ's throne to left. Reverse: Virgin crowns John III who is standing, on left, and the Virgin, nimbate, on right, the emperor wearing divitision and loros and holding labarum and akakia, the Virgin crowning the emperor with her right hand.
