Antique Bakelite Horn Tortise Shell Folding Fold Out Magnifying Glass - $55 - (Topeka, KS)

Vintage/Antique Tortoise Shell Bakelite/Horn Fold Out Magnifying Glass. No Maker's Mark. 19th Century I believe! Perhaps civil war era? Perhaps Georgian? Please view all photos for best description of item and its condition. The edges of the case are chipped off in spots (see examples in pics). The rim of the glass is separated and therefore the glass is a bit loose. Appears to be missing a screw or pin that held it together. The glass itself has some smudges but no cracks. A bit dusty. Not 100% sure of the material, but through research, I believe it to be very old! Any additional information would be appreciated! Thanks for Looking/Bidding!
