We are pleased to offer a lovely set of 8 beautiful lapkins in snowy white linen damask. The pattern is one of lush fruit and florals. Each has been embroidered with the date 1908. An embroidered crown with a cross at the top is followed by a J R intertwined monogram and the number 24. The crown and cross has been known to designate a Christian monarchy and has been used in Papal tiaras. These are most likely from a noble or royal house and are very unusual! Condition: Very good to excellent, freshly laundered and table ready - no spots, stains, rips or tears. Size: 23 1/2" x 24"; monogram letters are 1 1/8" and the crown is 5/8" x 3/4".
