Up For Sale. 1930's Spokane WA Sign. Here is a pretty darn neat sign from Spokane Washington. The sign is made of painted metal, has two grommeted mounting holes, and measures 12" by 17 1/2". The "City Drive" was / is a 32 mile loop through Spokane that allowed motorists to see the city's sights from the comfort of their automobile. Local Spokane businessmen came up with the idea in the 1930's and marked the route with these signs. Tourism guides advertised ." The kids will enjoy looking for the next arrowhead sign along the route!" There is some wear overall, including scratches, chips, and missing paint, notably on the corners. This is a neat sign from the good old days of auto touring! Please take a minute to look at my other sales, you never know what I may decide to take off of the wall and put up for sale!
