Cast Iron Gate From 1859 John H. Williams ,Ebenezer Weeman Boston Gate Builder - $2,500 - (Chappells, SC)

Up for auction is an antique cast iron gate made in Boston in 1859. The name at the top of the gate is John H. Williams 1859. At the bottom it reads: Weeman 26 Merrimac St. Boston My research has revealed that Ebenezer Weeman was a fence builder located at 26 Merrimac St. in Boston in the mid 1800's. I was able to locate an old newspaper ad for Ebenezer Weeman fence builder in Boston.This heavy iron gate is 30 inches wide and 42.5 inches tall including the nameplate. The nameplate is removable . Beautiful patina.The name plate has had a repair towards one end as shown in the picture. The last two pictures show similar gates that have sold at auction. I am listing this as freight shipping but would prefer to have it shipped with a private carrier or picked up locally. I have had good luck using USHIP for items such as this and would post the shipping for bid with USHIP for a week so shipping will be delayed until the shipping auction ends. I would also be willing to meet within a 200 mile radius of zipcode 29037.
