Antique Diminutive Compact Spinning Wheel Early 1800s Child Salesman Sample??. Rare small size. Hand carved and painted, metal parts look hand forged, Blacksmith Primitive antique condition, worn, distressed wood. Works once the wheel starts turning, pump the wood pedal and the wheel spins great, Little help sometimes needed by hand to get the wheel going, then spins great by foot once started. Untested to sew any material. Has leather hinges for the foot pedal. Has some good size wood chips on the pulley's. Great for movie prop or log cabin decor, Museum or teaching young woman to sew. Has paint loss, dirt, rust, cracks in the wood, scuffs and scratches. Strong and sturdy for age. Still has a old ball of cotton/yarn attached to the post. Measures approx. 28" tall x 28" wide x 16 1/2" deep. Wheel measures 10 1/2" round x 1 1/8" thick. Some Assembly will be required if shipped, we will remove anything that comes off easily. Legs don't come off, Someone has glued them. This will be a large box and costly to ship do to the legs not coming off. Free local pick-up welcomed and recommended.
