in the pic it was going through the reset to factory defaults, that is why the LCD shows recovery. It will be ready to use when you receive it. it includes 2x4tb drives, if you would like to change the configuration, add or change drives, that is all up to you. if you are looking at this you probably already know about these, windows server based storage NAS, they have a cult following and are very popular for a NAS device. WD does not seem to be coming out with a direct replacement either so get a good condition used one here.
