Millen 90700 Sidearm Electron Coupled Oscilator VCO Vintage 1940's - $125 - (Medford, OR)

Vintage used James Millen 90700 "sidearm" Electron Coupled Oscillator aka VFO. Vintage mid 1940s. Tuning chart for 80, 40, and 20 meter ham bands. Untested estate find, missing power cord and output plug. Designed as a VFO replacement for a crystal, can be used as a 2 watt transmitter. Commercial version of a design published in January 1941 QST. All three tubes are present. Arm at side of oscillator compartment is vernier tuning control. Tuning chart has water damage, some paint is chipped and a little rust, but overall in good cosmetic condition. About 9.5 inches by 7 inches by 5 inches, 4 pounds.
