"HOWDY DOODY" COMPOSITION DOLL With SCARFCirca: 1940's This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. He is 21 inches tall. For reference see page #219 in "Composition Dolls" 1900 - 1950 by Ursula R. Mertz. He is composition head and hands with a cloth body. I am sure he is all original. I don't know the year he was made but I guess that he was made in the late 1940's (he was pictured in 'Toys and Novelties' in October / March 1949). He does have slight crazing on his head. See pictures for condition. Item as shown is part of my grandfather’s estate and most items I am selling haven't been touched or moved in 50-70 years. All I have done to this point is rescued these items and lightly cleaned or dusted. I am not trying to misrepresent anything here you will receive it exactly as it is pictured.
