This is a collection of USGS maps and publications, chemical analyses of Yellowstone thermal waters and an old T. Scott Bryan geyser book. The government no longer prints many reports making them difficult to find. Most maps are still available although the conversion to digitized formats has affected the availability of some documents such as geothermal maps. The large geothermal resources maps are great for an overview of big areas and handy in the field when you lose an internet connection. The chemical analyses have been collected from a variety of sources over a period of many years. The Xeroxed copy of the 525 page Allen and Day remains the most complete discussion of all Yellowstone thermal areas and provides a first-hand description of thermal features over 80 years ago. Most of the maps are in very fine condition. They have been unfolded to take the photos but otherwise appear to be new. The exceptions are the geological map of the Upper Geyser Basin which is worn and the Norris Basin map which is separated along some fold lines. 1. Geothermal Resources of Montana map - 1981 2.
