Offered for your consideration is a set of Wind in the Willows Sterling Silver Figures that date to the mid 20th century. They were cast by Lanier Edmund Sterling, a noted author and sculptor. (It's worth your while to look at his Wikipedia entry. An interesting fellow.) The set includes the characters Toad, Badger, Ratty and Mole. They are stamped with what reads like E Shepard' 1908 and FCL in a shield device as well as sterling silver and Lanier. They are in overall good condition with customary light surface wear consistent with age and use.
