DescriptionC. S. Lewis Handwritten Letter Twice Signed dated Feb. 3, 1960. Genuine C. S. Lewis handwritten letters rarely come up for sale. I've had this in my collection for many years but sadly need to sell it. It was written on an old style sheet of paper (8" x 9.5") designed to be folded to make its own envelope. On the reverse of the handwritten letter, you can see that Lewis wrote in his return address. By doing this we have a second Lewis autograph; printed, but from Lewis' own hand. This would be an excellent item to frame with glass on the front and back to allow each side to be viewed. The text of the letter reads: Dear Miss Nicholson, I agree to your reprinting the homage quoted in your letter of Feb 5 with payment of $35, provided the Saturday Evening Post makes no objection. Yours sincerely, C. S. Lewis ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This letter, no doubt, refers to the famous article Lewis wrote for the Saturday Evening Post which, for the first time, was a followup letter to his wildly famous work Screwtape Letters.
