VINTAGE ARTIST XANTHOS KONTIS STEVEN FOSTER DOLL 1950-60'S. - $150 - (Grant, MI)

Original Artist 11, 1/2" Doll in pretty good condition. Has a little paint rub here and there. Small spot on the front of his trousers. Couple missing paint marks in hair. Still has his artists tag inside coat. Hard to read, the old glue has got to it. Rubber band that holds him together is still in tact just getting a little loose. Great doll. "Steven Foster" by Xanthos Kontis was a Pennsylvania Doll Artist in the 1950-60's. He was a member of NIADA (National Institute of American Doll Artists) and UFDC(United Federation of Doll Clubs). His dolls are artist renderings of famouse people. Many dolls were made for sale at NIADA & UFDC Conventions.
