Part of a collection of autographed photos of German Knight's Cross recipients (similar to the US Medal of Honor) as shown in the last picture, attributed to Donald McClure who was a Lieutenant colonel, United States Air Force and a Nuremberg war crime trials official. Mr. McClure was noted for his "Donald McClure Papers", which included "Correspondence, memoranda, and trial transcripts, relating to "The Long March" of the 1st Division, U.S. Infantry, into German occupied areas following World War I; German military operations in the West during World War II; and German war crime trials, especially the Buchenwald Concentration Camp case, 1947-1948."
