HERE IS A 6" X 7" PERSONAL LETTER, WRITTEN AND SIGNED BY ARTHUR G. STAPLES. LETTER IS DATED JANUARY 24, 1938, AND IS WRITTEN ON HIS WIFE'S PERSONAL STATIONARY. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH A MAILING FOLD AND LIGHT WEAR. ARTHUR G. STAPLES WAS A JOURNALIST AND AUTHOR FROM MAINE. HE WAS THE EDITOR OF THE "LEWISTON JOURNAL" FOR 21 YEARS, AND WROTE THE BOOK "THE INNER MAN". AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH, STAPLES WAS CALLED "ONE OF THE BEST KNOWN NEWSPAPER MEN IN THE NORTHEAST".
