Ultra Rare 1957 Keilwerth SuperSonic Alto Sax for Restore: serial # 27691, made in Germany. Stamped on back “Keilwerth, The Best in The World” and on the bell front “SUPERSONIC”. One of the rarest of the Keilwerths, it shares the lucite? side guards with the more common new king model. This horn is solid and looks to be original and complete except for a back guard and a finger pearl. As the pictures show, there is surface wear, but this is still a nice candidate for restore. The key work feels good but shows wear. The pads are shot and it will require a basic overhaul for daily use. I see new kings on a fairly regular basis, but this is the first of these I have seen. Includes a nice GWW Pro case to protect it well.
