Featured here is a Kennedy White House VIP gift to guests who stayed at the White House between 1961 til the end of 1963. This is a soap box gift set with all three small bars unused and still sealed with the White House impression on the front and Presidential Seal on the verso. The box is gold foil with a white lid and and embossed view of the White House along with the Presidential Seal embossed and the word "Presidential." There were two versions of this particular gift - a small box of 3 small bars and a larger box of 2 large bars and 2 small bars. This is the small box. In very good condition considering its age...some 54 years old. One small bar of soap unused without the box sold in 2013 at live auctioneers.com for $600 including buyer premium of 20%, so the hammer price was $500. Exceedingly rare JFK White House gift and highly desirable. Comes from the Chief White House Usher (JB West) who served President Kennedy.
