THREE RARE letters signed by Dian Fossey on Cornell University leterhead that discuss a then upcoming lecture entitled "Field Behavior of the Great Apes." Also included are TWO symposium and program brochures. This lecture was held at Cornell University on April 26, 1981 and also featured Birute Galdikas and Jane Goodall. This group of letters is a correspondence between Dian Fossey and a doctor from Alfred University from February through July 1981. They discuss the upcoming lecture, both before and after... phone conversations, her life and her upcoming book. A copy of his letters are also included with this sale but not shown in the listing. Also included is a color invitation to a lecture two days later at Sweet Briar College with the above three women and Francine Patterson... "Hominids and Pongids: A Symposium." Plus an unused post card from The Gorilla Foundation and a envelope to mail a donation from that period. All items are in great condition and come from a smoke free home.
