Listed price is final Sale Price =$800 The 2010 Lalique Limited Edition Flacon pays homage to one of René Lalique's creations: the "Poissons" [Fishes] Fountain. A masterpiece made in 1937, the fountain was put on display at the International Exhibition of Arts and Contemporary Living, in Paris. Sumptuous, this glass fountain stood out because of the impact its artistic creation had. Today, the Feminine Edition of the Lalique Flacon has adopted the fountain's fish motif: Cascade. Made from colorless crystal, this washbasin-shaped flacon stands on a geometric pedestal adorned with droplets and tiny bubbles carved into the glass from inside. The frosted stopper pays homage to the fountain's decoration. One, two, three fish are splashing around: a striking aquatic trilogy. A battle is thus illustrated between a naturalistic vision of an animal's reign and the graphic, decorative stylizing of the flacon's shape.  Inside the flacon is an exquisitely feminine perfume: Lalique de Lalique. At the top, jasmine, clove flower, iris, and roses are already in bloom, carefully applied to a slightly fruity heart including blackcurrant, wild blackberry leaves and pear. On a dry down of sensuality and voluptuousness: sandalwood from Mysore, milky and mellow, sumptuous vanilla and a delicate touch of white musk.
