antique hit & miss Fairbanks Morse 1 Eclipse "One-Lunger" for restoration - $1,750 - (Natick, MA)

For sale a recently salvaged Fairbanks Morse 1 Eclipse "hit & miss" gas engine in combination with a Seneca Falls N.Y. water pump. Recently recovered from a demolished pump house on an old farm 1/2 hour west of Boston slated for excavation for a housing development. The pump shed had been gone for years. The pump and engine have sat idol 6 feet below the surface within the well foundation partially exposed to rain and snow; for a couple of decades anyways. What you see in the photos is what I carefully recovered. Most everything is covered in rust with scattered traces of old paint It does not appear to be cracked. The only thing I have removed is the pump handle. Everything else has been left alone. It also remains on its original thick hardwood base. All combined it measures about 56"T x 36"L x 13"W. I prefer to do local pick up only, but I will secure it to a pallet if you arrange shipping. Thanks for looking.
