FYED4 Ignition plate for the 1927-1937 Maytag Single cylinder Kick start engines. Various models like 92-31-B-11.111 use these ignitions. This was dismantled, cleaned, polished and reassembled with NO SANDBLASTING of the plated parts. New Condenser, Wire, Wire Retainer Gasket, Wire Restraint were installed. Coil dried out and tested. All unacceptable parts are replaced. Whatever they need they Get!! This Ignition Plate is guaranteed to run like a champ!!! Take a look at the disassembled braker assembly and see the detail. * The braker assembly is positioned with the TR27Points Location Gage as was supplied by Maytag. The only tool that will do the job properly without a doubt. No one sells this tool. * When you receive the ignition plate all you have to do is slide it into place tighten up the oil catch ring screw and clamp screw. Check the gap of the points as the governor brakes them open. Readjust the Governor to get it to brake the points open to .020ths. Do not fiddle with the points themselves there is nothing left there for you to do. Any tampering with the points will do you absolutely no good. * There are several distinctive styles of Model 92 Ignition all of which will interchange. The one pictured in this listing is date coded 6 9 June 1929. *I have been rebuilding Maytag's for nearly 40 years and I am pretty darn familiar with them, so rest assured its rebuilt correctly and will run your engine as well as your engine is capable.
