Her shrine in Aricia was on the shores of them lake Nemi. For that reason, she was named Diana Nemorensis- Diana of the Woods. This sculpture depicts the beloved goddess with her iconic crossbow, as she draws back on the string. She holds her perfect hunter's form. Her legs are firmly locked and her body forms a line as she locks her eyes on her target.
