Upright Bass 1/2 size Samuel Shen SB 150 Hybrid carved top Helicore w/bag bow - $1,650 - (Lovettsville, VA)

This is an excellent 1/2 size bass that has been well maintained. It comes with a French bow, and a gig bag. This bass will fit a student up to 5'6". This bass is outfitted with quality D'Addario Helicore strings. It features a hand carved top, and has fantastic sound. The bass has the usual dings to the wood from use, as pictured in picture #11 and #12, but the dings in no way impact the sound quality. The pictures do not show the endpin because we were unable to get the entire bass into the frame of the picture with it extended; however, the endpin functions as it should. This is a $3000 bass, new. Why rent when you can own (renting is an expensive option long term)? Samuel Shen is a well respected bass maker, and this model has quite the following for being a solid instrument in a more affordable price range. This bass will hold its value.
