M HOHNER GERMANY THE 64 CHROMONICA MODEL 280-C HARMONICA OR MOUTH ORGAN & CASEThis harmonica was made sometime between 1950 to 1970's and is a M Hohner The 64 Chromonica model 280-C harmonica or mouth organ. Hohner harmonicas originated in Germany in 1857. This is the 64 Chromonica model, key of C, which is the most basic and versatile. The harmonica is marked C on one side, indicating the key. The harmonica is marked "The 64 Chromonica 4 Chromatic Octaves Professional Model M. Hohner Germany" on both sides, but the top side also has numerical markings for note positioning. This is the standard for all chromatic harmonicas and a quality instrument. This instrument comes with the original brown faux alligator plastic case, which is marked "Hohner Chromonica 280 C Made in Germany". This was an estate find and I was told that it still works.
