1899 Dated Victorian Match safe / Vesta with Bowling Motif on obverse: obverse; victorian scroll design outer edges.. interior: crossed bowling pins & KBC 1899reverse: victorian scroll design outer edges... interior: LM initials. Dimensions: 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" Shows wear, surface scratches, tarnish, paint spots, dents and imperfections to sides which is pretty standard for these old match safes. Although it displays very well from both front and back. (see photos as they are the description of the exterior condition) top opens and closes but not all the way.. says sterling under along top edge (on the conservative side I assume plated) These are extremely rare to find pre 1900... and even more rare to find dated.... most of these are found post 1904.
