19TH C. FRENCH ANTIQUE HIGH BACK WALNUT REGENCE STYLE FAUTEUILS. CIRCA 1850 - $6,210 - (Aiken, SC)
A pair of high back walnut regence armchairs with carved arm supports knees and stretchers. Short hoves feet both covered in scalamandre fabric. Circa 1850-60. Excellent condition. Comfortable for men and women!. They are part of my private collection. They have been cared for and always got compliments. I bought them in Atlanta at Tom Hayes & Assoc. in the early 90's. I am shifting to other styles and it hasn't been easy to put them up for sale. I am sure you will enjoy them greatly as I did. Gorgeous fine antiques!.--Height: 44" (from floor to top)Width: 26" (from end to end of the seat)--The arm rests are 17" long and 2.5" wide, lifted 10" from the legsThey are extremely comfortable with deep seat, and upholstered with a gorgeous scalamandre fabric. I always got compliments on these antique chairs.
