The first bass manufactured by Kay was their Concert model C1. The concert bass had rounded shoulders or bouts, which made the bass easier to play while sitting and also gave it a more full sound.For sale is my 1954 C1 with every accessory you need to be a complete player. The bass is in great working condition and has been regularly maintained by luthier, Paul Strelau in Rochester, NY. It has been used in professional bluegrass and jazz sessions for the last 7 years and needs nothing. The sound post and end pin block have been updated in the last 2 years including a beefier end pin as shown.
