Rare Michael Miley Limited Edition #1579/1807 Glass Plate Negative Print of General Robert E. Lee. The framed photo has hung on my wall since originally purchased from American Historical Foundation. General Lee posed for this picture in 1863 for famed photographer Michael Miley as a gift to Queen Victoria in hopes of persuading Great Britain of entering the war on the side of the Confederacy. Print was made directly from the Michael Miley glass plate permanent collection of the American Historical Foundation in Richmond Virginia. Measures 20.5 inches long by 12.5 inches wide.
