Offered for sale is an antique amethyst glass vase. It has a unique shape with graduated rings radiating from the narrow waist near the bottom up to the widest part, which is near the top. This is a very old piece, most likely made in the 1880s. It has a polished pontil on the bottom and appears to have been hand blown. The raised thumbprints can be felt on the inside and the glass, but the exterior is smooth. Size: This vase is 9 inches tall and approximately 6 inches in diameter at the widest part. The mouth is 3 inches in diameter and the bottom is 4 inches in diameter. Condition: Very good antique condition. There are some bubbles and in the glass which are to be expected in a hand blown glass piece.The vase has a few fleabites around the rim, but there are no obvious chips, cracks, or other damage.Shipping: This fragile item will be carefully wrapped and securely boxed to avoid damage in shipping.
