Antique Rare French WOMAN in Blue & White Black LACE Gloves Oil Portrait c1700s - $1,650 - (Columbia, SC)

Here is a very old rare antique original oil on canvas painting of a woman. It measThe painting is in FAIR/GOOD as is vintage condition with flaking/chipping paint on a few spots,craquelure, and edgewear. Please notice her lovely blue dress,white lace apron/shawl and lace cap. She is a little plump and has a pearl/jeweled choker about her neck. My favorite element besides her blue eyes, is the stylish black lace gloves. She looks to have a small Bible in her hand.No signature or date. I am placing this art in the mid to late 1700s to very early 1800s time period. I believe it is French, possibly British,but was purchased here in America.It has a folk art /primitive style about the artwork. It measures 23 /4 x 29 3/4 in. Perfect for Rococo,French,Federal,Folk Art,and 1700s to early 1800s decors.
