You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMS Tenacious ( ex Tempest ) R 45, the T Class Destroyer which served in the Royal Navy from 1943 to 1954. The Tenacious , began her long life on December 3, 1941, at the venerable Cammell Laird shipyards, at Birkenhead. She was launched on March 24, 1943, and was commissioned into the Royal Navy on October 30, 1943. Post war, she was converted to a Type 16 Frigate, and was broken up in 1965. Photograph one is circa 1943 and shows an overall waterline port bow view. Item two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships badge, general 1945 characteristics, motto, callsign, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
