Noritake Art Deco Demitasse Cup and Saucer, 1920s-1930s - $349 - (Maryland Heights, MO)

Demitasse Cup and Saucer This demitasse cup and saucer set was produced by Noritake in Japan between 1920 and 1930. There is so much beautiful art work in this set that it is hard to describe! It is hand painted with gold scrolls, flowers, latticework, decorative cartouches and thousands of beads. The flowers within the cartouches are painted with enamel aqua and cobalt paint. The pattern is on turquoise porcelain trimmed in black. The octagon shaped cup is 2 1/4" high with a 2 1/4" diameter. The octagon shaped saucer has a 4 1/2" diameter. This set is in excellent condition with only minor gold wear on the handle and outer edge of the saucer.
