The M&S DMC3-4 Retrofit Master Station requires individual wire that is run from the master to each intercom speaker. If the master is replaced, all other components except wire and M&S music and door speakers with round bell buttons must also be replaced. (The exceptions are M&S MC302 and MC602 systems without CD or cassette players. Only the master and update frame have to be purchased when replacing these models.) The 3-wire intercom system replacement allows 13 remote stations and 3 door speakers. The 4-wire intercom system replacement allows 15 remote stations and 3 door speakers.
