WESTERN PUBLISHING BOUND OFFICE VOLUME OF 4 NM 1950's DELL GIANT COMICS! This auction is for an authentic Western Publishing bound (office) volume of Donald Duck Fun Book #1 (1953), Donald Duck Fun Book #2 (1954). . .M.G.M.'s Tom and Jerry's Toy Fair #1 (1958) and Abraham Lincoln Life Story #1 (1958) all in NM trimmed condition! Western usually made-up a half dozen or so bound volumes of each of their titles for in-house editorial usage, etcetera. Most of those bound volumes that have survived until today are NOT NM due to frequent handling. Not so with this bound volume--as the comics appear unread and undisturbed for over 60 years. They are a true treasure of 1950's nostalgia from our RUSTY TREASUE CHEST! These Dell Giant comics were bound while they were still in NM condition and then well cared for, which is why they are all still in NM condition with supple white/off-white pages! DONALD DUCK FUN BOOKS #1-2 are listed in Overstreet Comic Book Guide 2018 (#48) for $1250.00 each in NM- condition. They state: "(very rare in unused condition) (most copies commonly have defaced interior pgs.)" The copies in this volume are impeccably flawless and obviously the best condition copies in existence, notwithstanding they are showcased in a bound file copy volume. Every page is supple white/off-white and unmarred. No tears or creases.
