Antique Solomon Islands / Mauritius Ebony 2 Demon Ritual Bowl, w/ 248 MOP inlays - $2,500 - (Richmond, VA)

This antique southeastern African ebony bowl, with 248 Mother-of-Pearl inlays, is stunning. All of the original inlays are intact. This bowl was purchased in a antique boutique in Mauritius, Africa [the previous owner "told" me, but it looks like other works from the Solomon Islands]. It has been said that it looks like it is in the shape of a ship vessel, but I disagree.. There are no chips or cracks. There is an old repair as pictured [2 pics showing both sides], but it was well done and I had no complaints. It is about 13 1/2 inches long x 6 1/2 inches to the top of the demons "dread roll" x 4 3/4 inches wide. The inside bowl circumference is about 3 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches long. If in the USA, if it can go Fedex Ground, and save near 1/2.DHL is our sole International Carrier.....its insured door-to-door, USPS will ship cheaper, but their insurance only covers the package until it leaves the US, not after.
