LARGE Rare Meissen White Porcelain Bust Frederick The Great, King of Prussia Born in 1712, Frederick II was known as Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. He ruled from 1740 until his death in 1786. This bust was designed by Wolfgang Kronsbein, after King Fredericks death mask. This Meissen bust has a circular base, and is marked under the glaze with the firms crossed swords. Incised on the rear is what looks like "ranichbein". It measures a Monumental 14" in height.
