Early 18th Century Long Case Clock By Chatham Clock Co. - $3,999 - (Finleyville, PA)

I have listed here a truly remarkable clock. Made by a clock maker by the name of Samuel Higginson around 1725 for the Chatham Clock Co. We have with it documentation of it's creation and dating. We have the original sales receipt of it's purchase from an antique shop in Antwerp in 1983. We also have a letter from a clock authoritarian in Brussels who references the clock maker Samuel Higginson as working on Chatham clocks in 1725. He also states that the clock is from the very early 18th century or earlier. He goes on to talk all about the wonderful details in it. He mentions that there are numbers etched into the back of the face plate he believes makes reference to the year 1723. He generally enjoyed researching the clock and gives thanks for the opportunity to do so. It runs beautifully. Another couple nice things about it is the fact that it gives the date and has a beautiful second hand dial. If you have any questions or would like additional pictures just drop us a line. This item is being offered for pick-up only. If you wish to have it shipped you will have to make the arrangements. We are offering it at $3999.00 firm. The Chatham Clock Co. is still in existence today and they make replicas of these old clocks and they sell for more than we are offering the original for. No international sales will be allowed. Thank you for looking.
