Vintage Authentic Thonet Bentwood Rocking Chair (selling new today @ $1,395) - $495 - (Shawnee, OK)

Being a professional interior designer, I probably appreciate design better than most people, and this particular bentwood rocker that Michael Thonet designed back in the late 1890's is truly a classic. Thonet had a half dozen, or maybe more, manufacturing plants all over Europe. I purchased this rocker from the U.S. distributor in 1975, so my wife and I could rock our newborn daughter. Since about 1979-1980 this beautiful chair has been sitting unused in a spare bedroom, because I refused to dispose of it. But it's time has come and I am having to dispose of things for my wife's estate sale. This is a classic chair in mint condition, and it qualifies as "vintage" and "classic" and "collector". Buy it now as it is truly a classic and will last another 30-40 years even with daily use. Truly a real value. Incidentally, the U.S. distributor is selling this rocker for $1,3768.00 as of Sept. 6, 2017.
