Up for sale is this wonderful treasure that comes from a private Conn estate. It was obviously made for someone of great importance when you see the high quality crafstmanship that was put into it and it is monogrammed on the top CB done in metal and mother of pearl. It is a large antique lap desk that weighs 30 lbs. The outer box is a painted black frame that is highly decorated with inlaid metal, tortosie shell in 2 different colors and inserts of mother of pearl. The trim around the entire box is an ornate metal which is rarely seen. It has 4 round feet on the base and opens exposing the writing surface with 2 drawers which is a highly polished wood that is in mint condition. The originla key is included and in good working order. It measures 24" x 10 1/2" x 16 1/2" and weigh 30 lbs with shipping material it will be heavier so buyer will pay actual shipping costs which include insurance to protect the value.
