Here's the crystal you need to operate your Heathkit SB-101 or SB-102 (and others) with crystal control. If your rig uses an LMO or VFO with an output of 5 to 5.5 MHz like the Heathkit SB line transceivers, this crystal (5.452 MHz) will put you on the lower band edge frequency plus about .046 MHz...for instance 7.046, 14.046 +/- etc..(assuming the other oscillators are dead on) ... Perfect CW frequency right below the .050 MHz standard calling freq ..Open the lid, plug the crystal into the AUX XTAL socket, and use the "Frequency Control" switch to select crystal control of transmit only or both transmit and receive and you're good to go...
