The spot-on will do it eventually as the fleas die off when they jump on your pet, but will not be immediate relief for the suffering pet. Ever wonder if what you are getting is authentic? Well, sadly there are a few sellers selling counterfeit Bayer Advantage ll cat/dog and K9 Advantix, and in some cases at very attractive prices. You can protect yourself and pet by knowing the signs of a fake. 1. The lot numbers on the foil should match the numbers on the tube itself. 2. But even if they match, if the foil is not neatly sealed on both ends, likely it is a fake. The sealed band going across the back of the foil should not be more than 1/4" wide.
