Black Forest Oak Wall Clock Westminster Chimes Jauch Movement Excellent w/Key - $750 - (Walnut Grove, MN)
Black Forest Wall Clock Up for sale is this German wall clock that I purchased at auction. It runs and chimes perfectly and looks great. I had the clock looked at by a quality repairman and the only thing he had to do is to replace the cap on the hands and coordinate the chimes with the time. The chimes are what I believe are called Westminster chimes. They chime on the quarter hour and on the hour. There are 8 bars on the right side and 4 on the left. I think the chimes are marked “H10 FS” (see the 10th image). The clock measures about 39” tall including the bonnet, by about 15” wide by 9” deep. The bonnet appears to never have been attached. The face has a diameter 8” and sits behind a beveled glass opening 8” in diameter. The face has Roman Numeral numbers with the minutes marked on the outside of them (5 10 …60). It is marked Jauch above the stem and “MADE IN GERMANY” between the IV and 30. I have not taken the works out to see if there are other marks. The paper work that came with the clock indicates it was purchased at the House of 1000 Clocks near Triberg, Germany at an original cost of $1201.94 plus shipping. I have paid for the clock to be professionally prepared for shipping at a shipping store. I will let the pictures tell the story.
