Antique, Circa 250 Year Old, Chinese Mother Pearl Gaming Counter Chip Pendant . This pendant is a very fine example of a delicately hand carved Chinese mother of pearl figural gaming counters chips. The chip has fluted edges, piercing around all four sides. One side has figural scenes of a village and the reverse has landscape and birds. These exquisite counters were made during the ‘Ching’ Dynasty for the British from the late 1700s to early 1800s. The chips were used with card games like Piquet and Quadrille, now long forgotten. The chip is in excellent condition with no repairs, chips or cracks that I could find under close inspection. It is approximately 1 3/4" x 5/8". Thanks for looking.
