Please note: This is NOT the original Icom part. The Icom IC-R3 can be operated on either a rechargeable NiCd battery pack, or 3 standard AA batteries. If you use the AA batteries, there is special insert that must be installed in the battery compartment. I have lost my insert but wanted to run the receiver on the AA batteries, so after a little trial and error, I constructed this 3D-printed replacement. It works perfectly in my IC-R3, and I understand that the IC-R20 works the same way. Either way your satisfaction is guaranteed. I will refund all payments if it does not work properly in your radio.
