With Vivian Vance, Glenn Anders, Donald Cook, Gertrude Bryan, Robert Burton, William David, Ann Driscoll, Walter Gilbert, and Horace Sinclair. Produced by the cigar-chomping (he is shown in the program, chomping away) John Golden. Production designed by Donald Oenslager. Miss Lawrence's clothes by Hattie Carnegie, whose designs rate a full page in this book. The show ran for 256 performances on Broadway and toured extensively. Do you like the photo of Miss Vance and Miss Lawrence nose-to-nose? Very provocative. Do you think it reflects reality? Printed on heavy paper with an almost matte finish, the black-and-white photographs do not scan very well, but are of better quality in vivo than one might suspect from seeing them in this listing. The program has some age darkening, and there is a 1.5-inch horizontal tear near the top of the back cover that does not interfere with the cast photo that is on that page.
