RARE Amosandra Black Baby Doll Ruth E Newton Sun Rubber Co African American USA - $350 - (Lafayette, MN)

The Amosandra black rubber baby doll was designed by Ruth E Newton, a well known illustrator of children's books, for the Sun Rubber Company in the 40s and 50s. This Amosandra baby doll is ten inches long and in very good condition. She has moveable joints at the neck, shoulders and hips. The markings on her back read: Designed by Ruth E. Newton. Mfd by The Sun Rubber Company Barberton O, U.S.A. and patent numbers are listed. There are not many of these rubber dolls left in good shape because of their age. This doll has some dryness on her head, and some damage to her legs and feet. She is dressed in a homemade sundress and shoes. Please see the pictures for all the details.
