A gorgeous 1793 half cent with sharp, barely worn detail and glossy, slightly lustrous olive brown surfaces. Hardly any contact marks - two tiny scrapes above the A and L of HALF are the only things that come to light after a careful search. No roughness or porosity at all, the little bit of grainy texture on the reverse is from die rust and a common feature of the variety.
